As a kid growing up in the 1960’s and 70’s, I remember having a few heat waves during the Wisconsin summers where we got into the 100’s. Milwaukee could count on hitting 100 degrees a few days every summer. Northern Wisconsin usually hit 100 for a day or two. It hasn’t happened in many years. We don’t even hit the 90’s in Northern Wisconsin anymore.

Back in the 80’s the claim was
“Global Cooling” and the coming inevitable new “Ice Age”. That made sense to me and I actually feel that if our weather patterns are really changing, it is getting colder, not warmer. -Just my opinion-

I’m not a warm weather person, give me single digit temperatures ANY day over 90+ degree days. I have no desire to ever live in Fl, no
matter how great people say the weather is. I served long periods in the Middle East and that heat just about killed me, Iraq would get to 125+, no thanks.

100% on board with this, I melt in the heat, I rarely wear a winter coat, today I will though.
But these temps are extremely rare, going to be around 40 tomorrow.

My cars thermometer read zero in northern NJ this morning at 6:00 when I left for work, it had warmed up to a balmy 6 by 7:00 when I got to the Bronx. We’ve had a crazy mild winter otherwise though except for christmas weekend

Insane. I have felt -6 in Chicago. I don't need to experience anything colder.
I have climbed Mt Washington twice, once in June ...people were skiing on Tuckermans ravine.
60 mph winds too, Record low for Mt Everest with wind chill is -94, record wind is 175 mph
Record wind on Mt Washington 231 mph, now the low of -109...yikes let it be said.......
