Hey @Mapex Always , I didn't want to derail the virgin BD thread and didn't want to ignore your query. Let's say that I'm still hoping for a Dodgers/Yankees World Series, although I'd also absolutely LOVE another shot at those Cheating Astros.

Cardinals are in first place by five games and will be getting their ace starter back in a week. They have the horses to go deep into the playoffs this year with a dominant offense and defense and excellent relievers. The starting pitching is shaping up nicely.
The Cards always give my Dodgers a rough time in the postseason (especially when Joe Kelly breaks Hanley Ramirez's rib with a pitch). If that matchup happens in the NLCS it should be a good series.

As a Mets fan, I'm cautiously optimistic. Very excited by how well they've played this year, but trying not to get my hopes up too high.

Well my Red Sox suck this year and chances of making the post season are slim to none .

My Home town team The Blue Jays are just not consistent and I don’t have much faith they can go very far in the playoffs even if they make it in .

The St Louis Cardinals are my favourite NL team and I love the way they are playing right now , so that is who ai will be rooting for this year . I think they are the only team to be able to challenge the Dodgers this year in the NL .

The Yankees are just not looking as strong lately and can see an upset in the playoffs with them .

My atl Braves are 6.5 games up in the wild card,we have been playing incredible Ball since June and still can`t catch the Mets.I know the Mets are known for collapsing but I think they are not that team this year.
It will be interesting to see how the bye week will affect the post-season this year.

The White Sox are a dumpster fire of dysfunction and I've lost all hope in a postseason birth. Awful.

I haven't had a mitt on my hand since I was 12 and got my first snare drum.
There’s a difference between “hoping” and predicting . When you first touched on the playoffs you were predicting a Dodgers / Yankees World Series . Not so fast . There’s still a lot of baseball to be played . As evidenced by the recent Yankees slide the same thing can happen to the Dodgers . That’s why I mentioned to you about peaking at the wrong time . Ups and downs with really good teams throughout the season builds unity , when those teams peak at the end is usually dangerous . Teams that seem to run away with it all season most times run out of steam in the playoffs . The Mets have had more injury’s throughout the season then anyone and yet they still have the second / third best record in the MLB . They have the deepest starting rotation out of everyone . They just lost 2 of their starters and have no problem plugging the holes . They have a deep bench with tons of power at any given time . The new playoff format gives the best two teams a divisional first round by . There are now good teams that wouldn’t have made the playoffs that will now get in . Wildcard goes to a 3 game format . A couple of those teams will peak at the right time and can be dangerous .

Mets have a weaker schedule the rest of the way . Braves are making it interesting .
