If Houston wins this series I'm going to buy and frame a print of this photo.

I am an intensely cynical and sarcastic person, but I'm going to break with my tendencies and be positive.

Javier is going to pitch a great game tonight. I know he can get through the lineup three times with far better results than Verlander and McCullers. The offense is going to look much more like its regular self and the Astros are going to even the series.

Verlander will get his first World Series win on Thursday.

Framber at home will be special.

In the immortal words of Homer Simpson, "This things I believe."
So all three of these predictions came true. My heart still catches in my chest thinking about it.

You have the ex Dodger Dusty Baker to thank for literally salvaging the franchise.
Such a class act. I'm happy for him.

I'm happy for Troy Snitker and Will Smith. Other than that, I didn't like either team. Braves will hopefully be back next year.

I'm really happy for him too. And they've announced he'll be back in 2023.

Waiting on the official announcement that Click will return as GM, but sources are saying he will be offered an extension today. Apparently there's been a bit of headbutting between Dusty and Click that you don't usually get between the two positions, with the owner, Crane, siding with Dusty, but winning has a way of smoothing things over, at least temporarily. It will be interesting to see if Click or Dusty stays longer.
