Are there song lyrics which you've quoted in everyday conversation to punctuate your point? Or perhaps more deeply, have become life themes, whether sincerely or ironically?

For example, let's say someone fails to find things going his way, and you remark with the Stones', "Ah well, you can't always get what you want."

A few of mine come to mind, and clearly it doesn't matter how obscure your answers are.

GENESIS, Willow Farm, "All of us fit in our places."
MARILLION, Fugazi, "Where are the prophets?"
PHIL COLLINS, "I Don't Care Anymore." (Was often complained, with this song in mind, at the end of my high school chemistry term.)
JETHRO TULL, Zero to the Power of 10 = Nothing at All "Something must be wrong with me and my brain." (During moments such as failing to remember where I put my keys.)

Even my wife has taken to calling our dog in the same voice Kate Bush uses to call her dog in the song, "Lake Tahoe."

Sometimes lyrics are just background to the music we love, but sometimes they hit home with us intimately and philosophically. Are there any which are so meaningful that you speak them into everyday life?

“Toyland, toyland,
Little girl and boy land,
While you dwell within it,
You are ever happy then,
Childhood’s joyland,
Mustic merry toyland,
Once you pass its borders,
You can never return again.”

I’ve found myself using 2 different lines whenever the conversation of lyrics comes up.
To me the following lines, both from Bruce Springsteen hold some kind of magic.
The first because it speaks to almost every man on some level and some point in their life:
“I met a girl and we ran away,
I swore I’d make her happy every day,
And how I made her cry..,
Two faces have I.”

the other because the lyrics paint an incredibly detailed and nuanced scene in so few words;

“Fat man sittin on a little stool,
takes the money from my hand while his eyes take a walk all over you,
Hands me the ticket, smiles, and whispers ‘good luck’, well,
Cuddle up angel, cuddle up my little dove as we,
Ride on down, down into this tunnel of love.”

I have a very annoying habit of singing the rest of Homeward Bound By Simon and Garfunkel whenever someone says "Home"
...
where my thought's escapin'
Home where my music's playin'
Home where my love lies waitin'
Silently for me

You gotta know when to hold ‘em
Know when to fold ‘em
Know when to walk away and
Know when to run
You never count your money
When you’re sitting at the table
There’ll be time enough for counting
When the dealing’s done

I use this one often:

Well, a question ain't really a question
If you know the answer too

Don't take her for granted , she has a hard time,
Don't misunderstand her or play with her mind,
Treat her so gently , it will pay you in time ,
You've got know, she's the sensitive kind .

I'm sure I share some common phrases with Eric July (also Backwordz), Zuby, and All That Remains. I generally don't know lyrics, outside of Metallica, but I agree with the previously mentioned guys on a lot of things in life in general.
