Paul and I share a common acquaintance and met once or twice briefly and we are facebook friends. Anyway-I reached out to him, to see if he would mod a 22" B20 of lessor Turkish heratige ...and he agreed. He gave me an hourly rate I think is reasonable and assumed at least 2 hours of work (I think the fee is reasonable because how many modifiers have Paul's background in smithing?)
He asked that if you're interested contact him here: [email protected] and he'll discuss the specifics our your project directly.
Before he'll do any mods, he is working to fulfill his new cymbal orders so patience required.

Great cymbals.
They are like from 'boutique cymbal makers'. You will hardly get this from big companies. Just recently, I was listening to a few Dave Collingwood cymbal videos (British cymbal maker). They sound very similar, at least to what I can get from videos. Would love to hear/test them in person.

Yeah- those all sound GREAT. A set of NB style 13” hats would be nice!

The 22" (2852g) that Steve Maxwell demoed on YouTube sounded fabulous to me, but at $621.00 I had to pass on it.

His name and small Cymbal Co. not mass producing and keeping the quality there will be labeled a “custom “ cymbal maker and yield big $ . Smart Dude .
So, I have two - both 21s but neither from Maxwell’s. They arrived on Thursday and they are incredible instruments.
The first one is a 21” cymbal that Paul modified for me. Re-hammered and lathed it to be more of a crash/ride but it sounds beautiful as a main ride as well.
The second one is a 21” that came from one of his blanks to be in the same ballpark as my 22” Medium Thin High. Absolutely incredible.
I have a lot of cymbals and have a nice collection of Paul’s prototypes throughout the years. These are hands down the nicest cymbals I’ve ever owned. His craftsmanship is out of this world and his attention to detail is second to none.
I’ll be taking the 21” MTH as my main ride to my next gig and the modified one to the gig after that. Both will be recorded, so I can see how they sound from a musical perspective.
