It is a hand stamp (ink), not pressed into the metal.

Good, I hope he does well after how the new zildjian management had treated him. They made a huge mistake letting him go imo...
I hope he bridges the gap between old k and new cymbal. I guess K is a Zildjian term, Paul was Zildjian… whatever Paul decides to call his new creations in the vein of old Ks. I hope his expertise bridges the gap Zildjian never could meet without hand hammered cymbals.

If anyone had the know how to do it, it would be him

He already did with the K Istanbul-inspired Zil prototypes from 2015.

I think they were too good and would overthrow the Kerope so they didn't release them.

Nice to see that he's back in action. Was wondering when he would pop up again after leaving Zildjian. I wish him the best in all his endeavors

Where does he get his blanks from? Zildjian? Sabian? :icon_e_surprised:
Or a Turkish supplier?

@Cymbalpaul. Paul you’ve got a lot of fans here. Care to chime in at all?

I’d love to know how you are categorizing your different lines of cymbals or any details you want to share.

I think we’re all pretty pumped to see you creating hand hammered cymbals!

I got to try out a few of the cymbals that Steve Maxwell tool to the Chicago Drum Show . I spent about 30 minutes with these cymbals . I was quite happy with what I heard , no dogs in the bunch and some were really special . The majority were good cymbals and the prices were pretty dear to say the least . I understand the entire handmade boutique thing so the prices may be justified, just not for me .

The prices seem about the same as high end zildjians or agops.

Timothy Roberts recently posted a 2.5 hour interview with Paul on his YouTube channel…

It took me a couple of days to watch this but what a great interview and what a great guy (this is coming from a diehard Paiste guy), I learned so much!
Now if only Paul could form a company with this guy! He could call it "Francis/Paiste" cymbals, the best of both worlds!!

There are still a few of his cymbals on Memphis drum shop site. Unfortunately my accountant said no more cymbals this year but they sound amazing! There’s a 26”!!!

Going to save up for 2023
