Hey guys. I think I know what strainer I need for this little cheap snare, but I'm not so sure on the butt plate. Snare strainer looks like the generic Pearl.

My brother in law gave me this pearl student steel a year or 2 ago and I am finally getting around to thinking it may actually be useful. I would like a steel snare and if I fix this one up it may do. I made a video or 2 of it when I got it and it sounded decent for what it is. I've got some better hoops around the house, but the snares won't hardly engage anymore. Anyone know a good cheap replacement? I'd rather have drum key bolts than the dreaded screws. Thanks!

Ended up getting a Gibraltar standard butt plate for this snare and it worked out perfectly. Threw on a 2.3mm batter hoop and some puresound super 30 wires I had lying around.

For a cheap shell, this little snare sounds excellent now! It always amazed me how sometimes these super cheap, way overlooked snares can sound very, very good. It's no black beauty or anything, but for needing a steel voice, I'm very happy. I only have one 5" (5 and 5.5 are usually too small of depth for me) snare, so this is a nice addition to the collection!
