This was one of the last gigs I played last year before everything shut down. I've played since then but haven't taken too many pics.

This was November of 2019 at a firemen's ball and awards gig we did.

When we are done setting up for a gig I like to snap a pic or two of the stage with whatever set I'm playing on it. I'm no photographer but sometimes I get some pretty cool shots of my USA Customs and Classic Maples.

How about sharing some cool shots of your sets on stage?

So many of these kits have only one rack tom.
I guess that's the current standard?

Simply isn't enough for me. I use 3 rack toms and a floor.
Maybe it's the type of music?
I'm playing classic rock and some metal.

We had our first show in seven months with the Pink Floyd tribute I’m in. It was nice to finally get back out there and play in front of a crowd, although the crowd was at about a quarter capacity of what the place was really supposed to hold, of course due to the coronavirus restrictions.
At the same time the coronavirus is the reason why I haven’t gotten a haircut in a year and I was able to grow it out and look like Nick Mason circa 1972 Pompeii, LOL

I loved your playing on that show. I go back and watch clips of it all the time. The energy you brought to your performance was wonderful. Kit sounded great too.

I can't speak for anyone else here, but it's been my current standard since about 1973. Virtually all of my heroes growing up used a 1 up/1-2 down config. I learned to play by emulating them, which included mimicking their setups. There was a brief time in the late '70s where I flirted with 2 mounted toms, but that faded pretty quickly. It's been 1 up/1-2 down ever since.
