Ron....

Great photos... I have nothing to compare with that quality... but I did

find two young lovers 35 years ago.... Civil Ceremony ... Basel, Switzerland...

in the presence of total strangers. I no longer resemble the kid in the

photo....but I do remember the Princess made her own wedding dress.

we had no clue....

think we had a little Kodak Pocket Instamatic.

Peace, Chas

Chas, Great memories. Are you still together?

This is a portrait of my wife that I painted 12 years ago from a b/w photo I took of her the year we were married, when she was 20.

yes ... still together. Still best friends (with benefits).

Nice artwork my friend. I'm too obsessive compulsive for painting....

Your Lady is lovely.

Royal Ace,

You are very good. Very American style and it reminds me somewhat of another American painter I quite like. If you sell any of your pieces please PM me. Thanks!

These are what I've used on the last few gigs. A dear friend salvaged a bunch of Gretsch RB orphans, and stained them by memory, to the finish of my 80's Gretsch kit. If that were'nt enough, he gave them to me! NO CHARGE!! 8X12, 16X16. BD turned out to be 9"X20". He saved the Badge, center post mount, Pratt muffler, cymbal mount, and spurs. These drums sound great! They attract interest & compliments from band members and audience every time I use it. Especially the BD.View attachment 78126View attachment 78127View attachment 78125

This set was the closest thing to NOS I have ever had/seen.. It had the original heads on top and bottom {coated 2 ply}. It seemed like someone broke the snare head and they threw it into a closet. True closet case. I took them off and put some 2 ply 7.5 mil vintage replacements on. I also used a singly 10 mils on the reso side instead of the 2 plys.. The wooden powertone is a treat and fun to play. I had them set up in the basement.. As seen on page 4 http://www.drumforum.org/index.php?app=core&module=attach&section=attach&attach_rel_module=post&attach_id=78014 .

Nothing vintage going on right now in the drum shed---my new Ludwig Epic X-Over Downbeat kit:

And, my Classic Birch kit when I went with something beside my normal one up, two down:

This one is getting readied to be the kit for church for the contemporary worship service in a couple of weeks:

Ron, the self portrait kind of reminds me of something Albrecht Durer might have done. Very nice!
