Why not "buy" some old Slingerlands --fall down "that hole"--and get it over with Tanabata? :D

Dale Vigent has been working on 3 ply shells with a solid steam bent core has required many modifications with the machine shop for the lathe snare shells look just about perfect to where he wants them. Next big project is outfitting the larger pattern makers lathe for larger shells. Dale apprenticed with Johnny Craviotto years ago and has been developing his shells now for many years

DW built me a 3 ply maple/poplar/maple kit recently that is just incredible. I've owned Ludwig Legacy and I much prefer these. I have a hunch DW will release these as an option in the Classics series. Everyone who plays them raves about them. I ordered a snare to match without any expectation and it is phenomenal as well. Check out the double inlay hoops! I begged them to make those after seeing an old W&A kit that inspired the decision.

Yes they have modern rings - not the super deep Radio King style that are on the Classics. So it's a bit of an old meets new design

Mario - I remember seeing that on Instagram and being blown away. That's a great kit.

Not to hijack, but I'm glad WFL III is putting out kits. Those shells sound interesting. I wonder how the badge is affixed? I hope it's not a stick-on.
