Hi all,
I got this from a drummer friend when we swapped kits. Lost touch so I can’t ask him. I’ve been looking, trying to figure out what type of Ludwig it is and when it’s from. The 7 digit serial and 10 lugs have me stumped. I attached some pix.
Any help is much appreciated.

1984 LM402 Supraphonic. The last of the Chicago drums before the move to Monroe NC. They were using up stock before the move and sent out a lot of these with bow tie lugs instead of the usual imperial lugs.

Thank you! I was thrown because the throw is so basic. It sounds BOOM though:).
While ‘84 & Chicago are cool and kinda sentimental to me, I’ve had a black beauty on my wish list for years. I was lent a 5 1/2” BB in the late 80’s for a while and I still miss that gunshot sound. I don’t remember what year model it was.
So I’m thinking of selling it to get an original BB. If you all don’t mind, how do the two compare in value?
