Not sure if there is a thread like this already, but I saw this in another forum as a way to better get to know each other. It interesting to see each other’s gear and views on drums or music but even better to connect the dots and show each other’s personal playing and style. Post practice clips, performance clips, recordings, whatever you want so we can put playing and a face to the screen name.

I'm getting a "We can’t find that page." error when I click your links.
Odd. I'm getting it now, too. Hopefully tech gets the link fixed soon.

EDIT: I just deleted the post. Can't get the links to work, even though I can go to SoundCloud and listen to the tracks...

Old band

New band

I think I'm a better player now, and the overall musicianship is better, but you can hear that we haven't locked in the way the old band did.
Nice playing... solid grooves and foundation for the band!

This is the only thing I have of me, a police tribute band few years ago, sorry it's a bit rough in places it was our 2nd gig?
.
Nice Copeland representation!
I can't get your video to play. Unfortunately
Not sure what’s that’s about. They were regular posts to Instagram.
Thank You Dirty Sticks I'm gonna steal some of that 'funk' hi hat...when I get around to it ; )

Since you asked....

My second gig with the Santana Tribute band, "Soul Sacrifice" w/ drum solo, this is how and where the solo started.

Same Santana Tribute band w/ a solo on "Soul Sacrifice" this is what it evolved into.

Jazz, my trio w/ saxophonist Bob Ackerman and bassist Calvin Hill.

and part 2.

A big-ish band tribute by Trumpeter Matthew Stewart from the band Streetlight Manifesto, to my old bandleader, Ted Curson

Cute little thing my collective trio Simple City did a couple years ago. The record that this session is from is finally coming out this week.

Tune from a quintet I work with regularly from our record release hit last year. Whole thing is in 12/8 but with different phrase lengths layered on top.
