Price Check on Gretsch 125th Anniversary Set.

I have an offer to trade my Mahogany Jazzette set with excellent chrome, though it does have scratches and a switched 60's front hoop, for a 2008 Cadillac Green/Gold Hardware 20,12 14,4x14 that is new in the boxes (Never played). I would like to know the value of the Gretsch set. Thank you.

Has your current kit been refinished? Or a wrap removal? That seam is pretty harsh on the 16" floor tom.

If it’s a straight up trade, I believe you’ll be ahead with the Gretsch. I’d take that trade. By entertaining it, it likely the Jazzette isn’t doing it for you anyway.

Wow. I have the same Ludwig kit and it is very special. Mine was modded and I refinished to restore it to like new. But so is the Gretsch especially if new. I am guessing the Gretsch with snare is $3K. For the right buyer you'd get more for your kit though. If you don't do it, let me know.
My restored kit is obviously worth less.

I’m Jazzette covered with this Pre-serial Baby Ringo so the mahogany one is an extra.

There are three 135th anniversary sets that are similar (4 pc.) at the Memphis Drum Shop.
Asking approximately $5K for each set....

Just to be certain....these shells are USA Custom round badge, correct ?
There are other "anniversary" sets out there (Brooklyn).
I would think anything cadillac green with gold has to be the USA line.

That’s it, I just picked it up and my Jazzette went to a great player who’ll make them sing. Thanks everyone for the input. I was going to bring them to the Chicago Show but I’m very attracted to shiny gold things so they may end up in my music room (Original heads stored).

Those are special....congratulations.
I ordered my USA Customs in March, 1977 and they were delivered that August.
On August 26th of this year, I will have had them for 45 years....still my regular gig kit.

They had $5400 on a Champagne sparkle 120th Anniversary set and it listed for $4200 or $4250. They were Jasper shells though.
