This is a beautiful red sparkle Slingerland snare. It is ALL original! Original heads, wires, tension rods, stand, practice pad and hard case. All is in good working order! Just needs a little shining and will be as pretty as the day it was brought home. It hasn't been used since the school band years ago. Looks like '58 or '59 but perhaps someone on here can read the date better than we are able to.

$450 $325 Shipped ConUS for DFOers!

Definitely not '65. 'Chicago' badge dates it to no later than '61. Shell construction and strainer verify '61 or earlier. A close up of the badge will confirm, but the small details are suggesting 'May 19 1960 or 61'.

Looks like 56-59 oer badge but date looks like 5-17-61. I don't have the book handy. Nice specimen......love that dark red!

Agreed. And judging by that stamp smudge, last digit resembles a 1. My $.02.

Looks in beautiful condition. It should sell at that price or near it. I bought two of them earlier this year just for fun. They actually tune up pretty well. Now keeping them tuned might be another thing…

Can not be '56 or '57, the strainer on this snare did not come out till '58. Other small details are also wrong for '56 - '57.
I need to see the badge. I saw Chicago, black/gold and no serial #. Looked at vintage drum guide and thought it was that one.......

A really beautiful Deluxe Student snare drum! I'm very familiar with these drums and what they should sell for based on condition. Best of luck with your sale!
