I got this Premier kit (I believe a Mark 1 APK) a couple years ago for $30 and finally gave it a little time this week. It had been played to death and was very dirty. It saw some moisture too - rust in the tension rods. The wrap is kinda beaten up. I gave it a quick cleaning with some Soft Scrub (see clean/dirty pic) and put some mesh heads on it, and now I finally have a cool, super quiet practice kit for the garage to stay loose in the absence of steady gigs. I haven’t given any time to the hardware yet. It came with a steel Premier snare that I gave to a friend. The sizes are:
10x12
12x13
15x16
16x22 (black painted wooden hoops)
The kick and floor tom have re-rings. Interiors are painted black. I love the speedboat lugs!

get more exercise with both toms up there ; )
That's not a bad set at all..
Yeah lol, I always do two up, one down. Just went a different route with this. I was thinking about experimenting with stripping the 13” tom down and refinishing it, as the wrap is a little damaged on that one. If it came out decent, I may try refinishing the rest of the kit and maybe take it out here and there, or perhaps rent it out. There’s also a small hole in the kick drum shell, so that would need some attention too. Cheers...
