Almost finished. Waiting on a fiberskin front head and a cradle from overseas to place the 2nd 14" tom in. Its a 24" bass with 2 13" mounted toms and 2 14" floor toms in a cradle. I've never seen a R lug set before in the past 20 yrs looking. I had to make it! Had stickers for the logo head made too.

I wondered what that was sitting in the background of your other thread. That is cool as heck! What snare drum came with it?

Thanks Dave! It didn't come with a snare. I pieced it together over many years. I can either use the 5x14 metal snare or the bdp 8x14 snare for this tank. Glad you can appreciate it. Be Well, Gary

Thanks! Over the past 15 yrs. I've been trying to build this 1947/8 tank. The last two toms topped it off. I found a 13 with the matching 14. That lead to the search for another tom mount and floor tom cradle. Found them and waiting on the cradle to arrive.

Exciting that your kit is coming together, they must sound nice, are they 3 ply?

Looks great the fiberskyn sure suits that kit. Can you show a closeup of a lug

Those are very nice, that tom doesn't appear to be too yellowed

Thanks much! The wmp from that era seems to yellow over time. Also the glue that they used makes the pearl crack.

Thanks. Character indeed! The double(top & bottom) R lug drums were only mentioned in the text. Usually they were tacked on bottom heads.

I just noticed the R lugs on both snare drums, love that black diamond pearl, 14x6.5?
