Hey guys,

I've been looking and haven't found any recent listings or completed auctions for Paiste Giant Beat White Labels. My searching skills are probably not as good as most.

I have a 24" and am curious as to what they have been going for. I'm not looking to sell, but it's nice to know the value of your gear.

Any thoughts or knowledge?

Thanks

I've acquired, bought, obtained 3-4 in last 5+yrs,
All have been $1K+,
It depends on condition,
If you're lucky (extremely so),
You'll find a seller who doesn't know what he/she has got,
Not acknowledgeable about either or both Paiste history,
Giant Beats,
So they're selling them cheap
Otherwise you get deceitful, dishonest, theiving, unscrupulous sellers,
Who because a certain, famous, well known drummer played&used them,
You nearly have to both give blood &mortgage your house to be able to afford one,
These sellers are usually non-drummers&will sit on it,
If it doesn't sell,
I'd Google for what the last known price (s) they sold for.

The most recent sale I've recorded is March 2018 when one sold for $650 on eBay. It was in Greece and had a $95 shipping charge to get it to the US. Positive feedback was left which is the best access I've got (as an outsider) to it being a legit completed sale.

Only a trace of the sale left now:

International sales like this one complicate the interpretation because of differences in currency and higher shipping costs. @Ludiwg26 how have you reported currency differences between Australia and where your purchases were made? And did you include shipping and customs in those prices? Are they US dollars?

I should also mention that we are doing our best to get good information out there, resurrecting the lost Pasite-Only Wiki

plus adding newer information. I'm more of the 602, Sound Creation, Trad, Masters specialist but there is a dedicated team working on all things Paiste. Thanks guys. :hello1:

I wasn't even looking at B8 pricing info until more recently which is why there isn't much data. Asking people to look at completed eBay sales just doesn't work for relatively uncommon models. And looking at "asking prices" isn't studying completed sales which is what cymbals really sell for. My goal is to collect up better quality info on pricing and weights. The first little step in that direction shows where the wiki is headed (for all manufacturers not just Paiste)

I'm adding in MAP for models currently in production as well. The images and sound files (or videos) will be coming back as well. It's just a big task.

I'll trade you a new one for your original :icon_lol:

The prices for original 24's are pretty hefty. There are a few collectors out there that have way more than they should, and end up inflating the price of these cymbals due to having some of the nicest originals out there. It sucks, because I'd love to have one! Ha!

Yes customs&shipping inc in the prices & are in $ AUD,
Mine have the "white font/label/logo" still intact on ALL of them.

I had a 24" and a 20", both with odd staining. I paid $350 for the pair, and sold them for $1025 ($775 and $250) around Halloween 2017. They were interesting to examine in person, but A: I liked my 602's better and they were worth less and B: If and when I found the 18" and 15" hats, I doubt I'd be so lucky on price again. I could probably have gotten more if I'd held out, but I can't have that much tied up in stuff I'm not using.
