Recommend a snare drum between $200-$300

i have some fancy snares, but i just bought a newer Tama Big Black 14x8. they're $250 new, shipped. i got one used for $150. pretty cool sounding

I would recommend this -- Tama S.L.P. G-Bubinga Snare. I would have bought it myself it it had gone up a few weeks earlier. A bit above budget, but what a stunning drum.

Another acro vote here. But so many nice buys in this price range it would be hard to choose.

Older Tama Imperialstar/Mastercraft.

Very, very nice snares and for $250 +/- you can get one that’s in perfect shape. Like a slightly drier (die cast rims), slightly more powerful (heavy steel shell) Supra.

Another acro vote. Every time I play that drum I’m amazed by it.

I also have a Gretsch maple 14 x 5.5 that I love. A little beefier than the acro. Got mine used for around $200 and they’re often kicking around online listings.
