Hey all,

wanted to share a recent acquisition that some of you may find familiar here on the forum. Many endless thank you’s to Glenn Norton for allowing me to be the next care taker of such a special set.

1955 WFL 14x20(2) 16x16 16x14 7x13(2) 5.5x14 in stunning original RED duco lacquer.

ALSO - Would love to see if anyone else out there has any red duco pieces (extra points if you’re selling!).

Enjoy.

That's a winner for sure Joe! Spectacular doesn't describe it well enough. Hope to see it at the Delaware show!

Just to make it easier to connect the dots, here's Glenn's origin thread -

And did you say on social media that you actually went to CA to acquire? Totally awesome.

Yep! Flew to sacramento packed and shipped home. Meeting the family was the cherry on this red lacquer cake.

I can't believe that I missed the original thread on this. I think I was on vacation when this all came about. What a crazy insane rare set of drums. I have never even heard of a 14x16 floor tom from WFL. I know there are a very small number of 14x14's from the end of the WFL run into the transition badge but I have never seen one from 1955, much less a 14x16. I am hoping no part of this set ever gets broken up. The story and history are just too good to break any part of this up. Nice score Joseph!

Those are fantastic, but I don't see the duco part. Just looks red to me.

Excellent kit
wflkurt, I never seen a WFL in that size floor but I know Walberg and Auge sets were known for that size 14 x 16 floor tom.
