Replace rubber bumper Rapid Throw

These are typically dried out and falling off crumbling or gone.
Easy to slide on a new piece of rubber tubing . Remove the tiny circlip slide on new tube reinstall good to go!

Nice tutorial JPT.

I just went through something similar with a '61-'62 Slingerland Radio King throw off and couldn't find anything but "E" clips at my local hardware stores. C clips only available in larger sizes.
And none of the standard E clips sizes was a good fit.....either too tight or too loose. When too tight the threaded rod movement will crush/imbed the metal washer into the rubber grommet.
Finally compressed the E clip just a tad with needle nose pliers to get a reasonable grip.

Here's what an NOS gum rubber piece looks like. This one on a Radio King aduster knob.

I found them at Ace hardware. Looked like a standard stock item as they were in a standard bin with all the other c-clips.
