Repro Rogers B&B lugs Rogers USA

I've had the jp2 repro lugs which are identical in build to the originals only difference they are steel not brass. I never heard a difference between those and originals. I've played the Rogers USA repro's for only a hot minute, was to upset by the way they messed up the perfect Rogers symmetry and couldn't wait to remove them.

I would echo the sentiments above that they add mass and probably raise the tone. The boys over at Rogers FB are probably going to put a bounty on me for dissing their lugs!

Man I would love to hear a drum with originals play next to a drum with repros.
To see if I could discern a difference.

It also should be noted that when replacing 3917 lugs on a wood shell a ferrule will need to be removed from one hole per lug on the shell for the boss of the repro to fit

on a metal shell one boss will need to be removed with a dremel tool or grinding device ... (please do not bore the hole)

Also only one size is available and these lugs will not fit on drums from before 1960
