Can you ride a 2002 WIld Crash 20" well?

And on the larger subject...I had a 20" AAX metal crash once...and to me it sounded like a great jazz ride...

Thanks

A famous big band leader preferred a 17" K dark thin crash brilliant as a ride I had on my left side over a 20" something or other ride (not even going to mention the company), so much for labels and sizes.

I seem to remember the Wild crashes I tired out had shorter sustain and more initial body when struck. Back when I was playing 2oo2's, I passed on the Wild to get the standard 18" or 20" Crash for that purpose.

My go-to crash cymbals to ride atm are the 20" Masters Dark, and 20" ME 602. They blend seamlessly.

No experience with the Wild Crash. However, I have a 2002 Big Beat (Multi) 20" that fits this description. Likewise, a Signature Dark Energy 20" crash.

You can ride just about any crash if you just play to the cymbal. I frequently ride my 18" K Dark Thin.

I use a newer 20" Sabian AA Medium Crash as a ride. It's perfect for the gig I've got. Just enough ping, but not very defined. Sits really well in the mix. Started using it on accident as I thought I brought a 20" ride with me, and was nicely surprised with the crash as a ride.

Giant beats were designed for and are great for crash/ride double duty

20" Mehmet Murathan crash! I ride it all the time and sounds great (it's bright and it happens to be my favorite of all my crashes as well). Nice contrast to my 21" UFIP Natural ride. I purposely keep it just to the left of my 21" ride.

I have a 20” Paiste Sig Full Crash that rides like a dream. Full disclosure. I ride all my crashes and crash all my rides.
I bet it does. I have a 404, well it's a ride now that I think of it, but a better crash than a ride, that I play with my Sig crashes. Been thinking about a 19 full.

I have a 20" Paiste Twenty Custom Full Crash (I think its around the 2100g mark) (now discontinued, heaven knows why) which makes an unbelievable light to medium light jazzy ride. It's an incredible all round cymbal - probably one of my cymbals that I am the most scared of cracking, just cause I'll probably never find another one in South Africa.

I think my bosphorus 19" thin crash in my recent thread is rideable
