So you're right-handed but left-footed my friend?..Though nowhere near the level of Craney and Humair , I'm a right handed person who has always played on a completely left handed kit . When I first started out many years ago, it seemed to be the only way I could get foot/hand independence happening .
There was some guy on Youtube showing non-drummers how to set up a kit to play on and suggested they play open-handed on a left hand kit. It nearly looked like a Rube Goldberg contraption, but made a lot of sense!Yep you know it's a thing when it showed up ten years ago.

Dude's kind of a nitwit. Either he doesn't know why people play normal right handed, or he's deliberately being dishonest about it.I'm still seriously thinking about trying this. The hit hat setup cost is just turning me off.
