That is a 50's Stambul (Paiste origin) that I found online and used it to compare to Ringo's 20" from the early Beatles era. I own Ajax cymbals with the big bell but recently, the lathing views on some of these photos as well as hearing the sound at the end of the song, Please Please Me, lead me to believe it was a paiste cymbal. Ludwig Paiste 3 stars made in Germany at one time also had the giant bells but the Stambul sounds the best.

Wow, those are awesome sounding cymbals! I really loved the hi hats and Ajax ride. It makes me want to start a thread on my Tyrko nickel-silver hi hats to find out more about them. They're my only set but I love them like no other I've ever heard. Not too loud when you use the pedal, really hefty with a stick.
That thread lead to my permanent ban from the DCI forum. I got into it with some know it all with the last name Butz and lost my cool and was promptly booted. It's great to have this level of investigative work looking at the final mystery of Ringo's equipment.
I can recall a very heated thread from years ago, probably back on the old DCI forum, mentioning the rivets in Ringo's cymbal and getting shot down because "Ringo never used any riveted cymbals". Even a photo wasn't persuasive enough.
We've come a long way baby....
April 1965-Italy .... the photo showing the underside of the 18".....unless my eyes deceive me, that 18" has a large bell on it (perhaps 5.5" as opposed to a regular 5") which I believe is one of the indicators of a "crash ride" but not the only one.... you also mention the large bell further down in one of your posting in the July 1966 Munich photo.
Thanks for posting this. Here is an example of Ringo's Arbiter blue label pair. I think he started using these as well as the Ludwig Ringo Starr model 13A's on the '66 tour. Pro Mark would be the perfect company to remake these, they have some models similar but nothing exact. The Ringo model sticks and the Tamba-Ching on his hats from 1971 Dallas-Arbiter catalog
Ringo sold it along with OBP #1 kit a few years ago... Jim Irsay has it maybe?
The silver sparkle kit was 28 bass, 20 floor, 10X16 tom (like Ian Paice) and a 16" snare (if I remember correctly).
