Ya, I have no desire to get one, but it was cool sounding.

But I love Ringo's philosophy of gear...stick with a good solid set of drums, a small handful of good choices for cymbals, don't go switching anything out willy nilly just because you can, and make some music already!
Love your "Ringo's philosphy of gear"; so true...if it ain't broke, don't fix it....

... PS, what's the deal with Ringo's double bass setup?!?!?
It looks like they added the bass drum from Ringo's OBP kit to his thermogloss kit. I've seen a few pics of Paul playing that kit so perhaps he added it for when he played drums during the couple of weeks that Ringo had quit the band (just speculation on my part). Perhaps because Paul was left-handed it was easier for him to play the BD with his left foot and rather than change around Ringo's kit he simply had Mal bring in the OBP BD.

That makes sense; it think it was a 22" OBP

Not to hijack GiantBeaters post/topic,for those interested.... there was discussion on DFO in 2017 about Ringo playing the same double bass kit ....

This is tripping me out, Ringo's fooling around is hilarious!
Also, what cymbal is he using on this? Is it his Stambul? 602? Zildjian? Zyn?
Looks like a 20" for sure, the shape of the bell looks 602 or Stambul like...
