I just messaged my friend Tom Brislin, who played keys for Meat Loaf for many years. RIP.

Somewhere up there, he's writing more 10-minute pop songs with Jim Steinman.

I dont know much about him but thought 2 out of 3 wasn't bad. I was more familiar with when he came out in the 90's for a second wind of his career. I heard it was Covid and he was anti vax. RIP....

Just watched that the other day and had forgotten he was in it... Loved him as the dad in Pick of Destiny and the song they did with Tenacious D and Dio!

You beat me to it... Meat Loaf is great in that sequence/role, although, if I'm being honest, he was sorta vocally over shadowed by Dio (another RIP)

I was a closet Meatloaf fan. I liked alternative music in the 1970's. Including psychedelic, surf, and garage. I wasn't supposed to like the commercial slickness of Meatloaf. It sounded like cookie cutter hair band music. But I loved it, and still do. I had a strong emotional attachment to the lyrics of some of the songs. A very talented entertainer who gave his all when performing. I was lucky enough to see the “Bat Out of Hell” tour in Detroit in 1977, and it was one excellent show. I even grabbed a drum stick thrown into the audience after the show.
RIP Mr. Aday

The Weber Grill folks had to send out an apology e-mail this afternoon:

This morning you received our weekly "Recipe of the Week" email, which is sent to you every Friday.

In today's email we highlighted a grilled meatloaf recipe. At the time we shared this recipe with you, we were not aware of the unfortunate passing of American singer and actor Mr. Marvin Lee Aday, also known as Meat Loaf.

We want to express our deepest apologies for this oversight and for any offense this email may have caused.

We send our condolences to Mr. Aday's family and fans.

Thank you for understanding.
