Just saw that. I'm happy I was able to see him a few times live before his passing.

Local guy's, used to play The Basement and they would be hanging out at all the shows that came through. I remember him being at Speir Music when I bought my first Tamas. I last saw them on the Vulgar Display tour and Trouble opened, what a great show. They came out and covered some Sabbath tunes with them, very cool. Still have my shirt from that one. Very sad.

I remember the first time I ventured into a smoky basement to jam with some shady dudes back in 1993. The guitar player whipped out a heavy riff and I said, "Nice! Did you write that?" He smiled and said, "No man, that's Pantera." I was hooked.
