“Deflection” ????
It's the band I wish I were in, and not because of Plant's past glories.I thought that was fantastic. Jay Bellerose on drums and JD McPherson on guitar. Love it.
Yep! I saw them here in Richmond on the ‘18 and ‘19 summer tours (had been into him since the first record, but he never came to town on a weekend before then and I was traveling almost every week for work back then.) Amazing band and amazing shows.I was front row at their outdoor show in Pittsburgh in 2018 (that's me, my guitarist and his son in front of the keyboard player, bottom left at 0:23 in this video) and it was one of the best live shows I've EVER seen. The long fuzzed-out guitar notes in the chorus of "Lucky Penny" (like at 0:43 in this video:) blew my hair back and rumbled my insides.
Who is his wife ???Robert Plant's wife is a far more talented musician than he is. I would paddle my canoe down the bayou to listen to jazz fest, caught several of his performances. Meh.
Good Doctor, Plant is not married, not since the 70'sRobert Plant's wife is a far more talented musician than he is. I would paddle my canoe down the bayou to listen to jazz fest, caught several of his performances. Meh.
I was mistaken.Who is his wife ???
Well I can deduct by that statement, you have only played with mediocre singers.Singers barely qualify as musicians
I laugh whenever I see these type of comments.Old rock stars are sad.Their permed wigs are sad. Wearing leather pants is sad when you nearly 80. Playing 40 year old songs is sad. That's entertainment, not music. I want to hear expression and art. Not a $100,00,000+ band raking in the cash and phoning it in. That isn't music. It's nostalgia banking on boomer money.
90% of this forum membership would struggle to play it with this precision and energy. It's sad to see the spirit and the energy of that early rock hit stripped from the Robert Plant/Alison Krauss version ...
No thanks….Has anyone seen recent Bon Jovi, Crue/VNeil or Whitesnake shows in person or on youtube?
They can no longer belt out the songs as they were recorded when their voices were young, but still try.
New versions are in order to keep the party going.
