You really have no idea. The older pros I've worked with had amazing presence and power. If Robert Plant was in a dive bar with a guitar I doubt he'd get a second look.

How do you know what his scope of interest is? Also, what makes you think your scope is wider than his or anyone else here? You may be surprised.I can provide you with a list of current musicians if you'd like to expand your narrow scope of interest?
No doubt. All kinds of classic rock. How do you know what his scope of interest is? Also, what makes you think your scope is wider than his or anyone else here? You may be surprised.
Only you would be proud of a thread that makes you look close minded ….Just passed 100 responses. So, you pretty much hit it on the head!
boy...Bon Jovi is painful...Has anyone seen recent Bon Jovi, Crue/VNeil or Whitesnake shows in person or on youtube?
They can no longer belt out the songs as they were recorded when their voices were young, but still try.
New versions are in order to keep the party going.
Try sitting at a gas pump talking to him .boy...Bon Jovi is painful...

Sad commentary. Its a new take on a standard(since 1971), nothing disrespectful at all. JB is gone. LZ is gone. So is Jim Croce & his magic bottle.Yikes, this is even worse than when Phil Collins ruined the Live Aid Led Zeppelin reunion.
Never liked the post-Zep Robert Plant, but the violins, the train beat and the somnambulating performance is an absolute desecration. Disrespectful to Bonham, actually.
Nothing is worse than Phiz's train wreck @ Live Aid (ruined Clapton's set too)! Okay, maybe a natural disaster or school shooting but not this! If it wasn't for Robert Plant doing this version it would've sucked by anybody else... think the high kicking Heart women.
This arrangement might have found it's way on LZ III. I'm indifferent to it and skipped the third album... pretended it didn't happen.
Apologies. His partner (former?) Is/was Patty Griffin. Folk singer songwriter. She's about as good as it gets in her genre. I didn't grow up in the 70's. Zeppelin is great. The best members of the band are John Paul Jones and Bonham. Singers barely qualify as musicians and Jimmy page is fine. I don't think Robert Plant would be remarkable outside of being in Zeppelin. I can't name any of his solo work. He's a legacy act. Always had been. Nothing progressive or worth bothering to pay attention to.

I like it that he's making work for Allison, Jay and the rest of the musicians and crew.I just watched this and as a huge Zeppelin fan, I thought it was great. The musicians Robert has surrounded himself with are doing a great job. Nobody can be John Bonham and I think this was very well played. Jay is a great drummer and I love his vintage vibe with the set.
