What do you want out of Plant? Hes been making it pretty clear for decades he doesn’t want to keep doing straight ahead Zeppelin stuff, but he knows everyone is there because of the Zeppelin stuff so he does a variation hes happy with. Saw him open for the who around 04 and it was the same deal with his solo band. He did variations of Kashmir and Going to California.

I personally appreciate it as you know its just for the fans and he’d rather not do it. I’ve seen Neil Young do full concerts where he seemed intent on alienating anyone in the audience who liked his old records and Phil Anselmo get booed off the stage for ranting about how much better his new band was than Pantera. At least Plant is acknowledging his debt to the fans of his early career, while trying to make himself happy

Funny you say that since Led zeppelin were essentially a cover band.

Yep...Kashmir, Thats The Way, Bron-y- Aur Stomp, Gallows Pole, No Quarter, The Ocean, Four Sticks, Good Times Bad Times, Communication Breakdown, Achilles Last Stand, Song Remains The Same, Mist Mountain Hop, Rain Song,...and many others are all unoriginal songs...surely rip-offs from ....nobody.

This is the thread that keeps on giving.

I wonder if VB thinks VB should have passed on this one.

VB doesn't dwell on such things.

Always happy to have a spirited discussion about paying top-dollar to see a singer who (being a professional singer) probably should have never taken up smoking.

This topic is clearly winding down after scores of people commented and thousands read it. Guess we're now back to discussing Bubinga, the death of Regal Tip and obsessive package tracking.

I personally can’t stand the song,so anything that anyone can do to it to make it better or worse I’m game!
love Alison Krauss's voice, 'percy' was up too high in the mix, she was down too low in it

Yikes, this is even worse than when Phil Collins ruined the Live Aid Led Zeppelin reunion.

Never liked the post-Zep Robert Plant, but the violins, the train beat and the somnambulating performance is an absolute desecration. Disrespectful to Bonham, actually.

Gawd that is awful!!! I always thought Plant kind of glommed on to Allison. She is vastly more musically talented that Plant. She probably has a lot more industry awards and recognition than Plant. She is a sleeper sort of star, child prodigy and has been in the game since she was a teen.

90% of this forum membership would struggle to play it with this precision and energy.

0% chance that this is the case , OR I am 100% on the wrong board ,, Precision and energy isn’t bad on that video , But I would easily bet on DFO having a better chance of pulling that off at a 90 percentile rate versus the opposite.
