Price is nice. If you looked at it in person, that means no shipping, right? With $250 shipping, decent price, but could do better.

If you can pick it up for the listed price, you will be happy with them.

100 bucks per drum seems like a genuine bargain to me.
Worth that easily.
I love mine! (same sizes & finish) 1980 XP8 Londoner Six

As others have said it's a great deal if there's no shipping involved. Those are Big R drums, but pre-date the XP8 8 ply maple shells and have a thinner shell with re-rings. I own a kit exactly like it in Pacific Blue and they sound great.

I noticed that it is still there... What are you waiting for?

you should move quickly, it will get snapped up at that price.

And it's already discounted - any MGR pricing that ends in 98 cents means it's not going to be discounted any lower.

Great drums and great price. Grab 'em before somebody else does.

Several years ago I sold a 12/13/16/22 Big R set for $800.

I play a beater 12/16/22 big R kit at our jam space. Great sounding drums, easy to tune. I picked mine up at a similar price, which I consider a bargain for pro quality USA made vintage drums. I believe these are 5-ply maple-birch-maple-birch-maple shells, but could be mistaken. Hardware is a bit bulky but absolutely rock solid. Wouldn't be my first choice for shlepping around, but great to play.

$400+tax for local pick up is a deal....$100/drum average. $650 shipped is actually strong....$150/drum ave. I've seen a number of similar 4 piece kits in $400-$500 range.

Nope. Hold off for a Rogers Big R XP8 kit. The 5 plies aren't as good, regardless of price, IMHO.

A few of the T-rods on the BD look unoriginal, but otherwise I'd say get 'em

Tommy,
He could get his foot in the door with this kit and always turn it later a make a buck or 2.
This is a good if not great price to at least try them out. You remember me from the Rogers forum?
Rogers are one of the best!
