Not the greatest pictures but here's my Wildwood set. First picture shows how little fade there is in the veneer. It has two 20" bass drums, three 12" toms, a 16" floor tom and matching Powertone. Also have matching hardware. I need to set it up and take some nicer pictures but you get the idea.... very nice condition and they sound great.

That double bass set has some of the best wildwood coloring I have seen in a while. Nice drums guys.

Back in the day, just before Rogers left Covington for CA, I was offered a job disassembling Wildwood kits they had on hand. They obviously weren’t selling. In return, I would receive my own Wildwood kit. It never materialized. Darn!

why does the dyna have black felts under lugs ?? u added them ?? and that is a REAL wildwood dyna sonic didnt think any were made
Long story short:

I found an undrilled virgin Wildwood snare shell. Used a COB Dyna as a donor drum. I used felts to help cushion the lugs on the wood veneer. Even had Jerry set it up for me as well. As close to factory you are going to get.

The double bass drum kit I posted pictures of came to me from a guy in his early 60's. Both his parents worked at the factory, father as a machinist and mother assembling kits. He told me the story about the disassembling and destruction of a load of shells but his parents were able to get this kit and gave it to him for his 16th birthday. He played a little for a couple of years but then went into the military and they stayed in cases from 1970 until 2015 when I got them. I plan on keeping them in this condition as they are an important little piece of Rogers history.

I had no idea this finish existed. It’s flippin’ gorgeous. Is the color variation on the veneer a staining process or the natural appearance of the wood species?
