Hi all,

Does anyone know if rogers produced 16" deep xp8 bass drums? I've never seen any Rogers bass drum deeper than 14", but 16" deep would make sense as it was becoming popular during the xp8s run. Thanks!

Yes. The XP8 drums had two layouts that had deep toms and an 18x22 bass. 'The Londoner 5 XL', and 'The Beat'. First shown in 1982-3. I have never seen one of these sets. Must be pretty scarce, that's for sure.

I did have a 'Heritage' outfit from that era with a 16x18 bass, 10x10, 12x12 and 14x14 toms.

Thanks dan.

The one in question is listed as 18x24". I just assumed it was 16" deep and he measured the hoops, as well. It has double spurs. Midnight mist finish.

Sonor sold a few Signature and Phonic Plus kits back then all square sizes, not the most practical
