My module has been in storage for a long time. Years. I forgot how to use the thing. I dug it out this morning and turned it on. I'm getting a a window that says system initialize, and that I will lose all saved data, and to hit execute. I do not want to do that and I don't see a way to leave that message/window and just get into Kits. I can't find the manual.

Anyone have any suggestions/advice/help?

Thank you.

Backup battery is probably exhausted, so you're probably stuffed. Sorry.
Roland manuals are all online on the Roland website.

Yeah, I found a manual at Roland. I didn't see anything about system initializing on start up but, a battery issue was the logical reason.

This is why I just put it all away to begin with. Just on the other end of user friendly, for me. I have a Trapkat and it's a lot of fun and all but, the programming is not. I notice a low battery message on the TK, as well, and I suppose I will lose all of that when I change the battery there, too. Starting from scratch ... bummer.

I got an invitation to audition for a band that likes edrums.

I like my TrapKat as well. Even though it's been the most unreliable thing I've owned in over 3 decades of edrumming.

As for modules - same as with PCs - do your backups!
