I've got an old set of Rogers with seam lift on the toms. It's not very pronounced but I'd like to deal with it before the the wrap starts tearing. Any help I can get for a permanent repair that doesn't involve super glue would be greatly appreciated. They're close to pristine otherwise.
Thanks in advance (a ton).

Amateur drum refinisher here. I like Tite Bond wood glue - red label. Stick some in there (once you clean up the old gunk as best you can) and then clamp it down. Way easier/less messy to use, much cheaper, "healthier" and I think just as effective as the "real" 3M glue.......

I've fully wrapped a Gretsch RB snare and Ludwig jazz fest snares with just using this glue and it worked great.

lifting would be one thing; it's shrinking

it's retracting around the shell
that's why you get cracks at lug holes; it's pulling away inward;

You may be right, but I've taken lugs off to check, no cracks or tears. Yet.
