I have amassed and restored a large collection of 60s and 70s 3 ply drums. All have been professionally recovered in Green Sparkle from Precision drum. I am thinning my drum herd and I am thinking about selling them. The kit is likely too big for one person to buy. Do you think I should sell as orphans or assemble as separate kits? I have a picture of some of the drums below:

Drum sizes:
14x26 BD Olive Badge
14x24 BDs (2) Olive Badges
14x20 Keystone Badge
6, 8, 10, 12 Concert Toms Olive Badges
8x12, 9x13, 10x14 Olive Badges
12x15 FT Olive Badge converted to floor tom
14x14, 16x16, 16x18, 16x20 FTs Olive Badges

Do you still have those late style Psych Red concert toms?

Are you shipping? Or local pickup only? Locally kits might move them quicker. But if you ship then singles are much easier. Still going to be a lot of work to move that many drums.
I prefer local. Shipping that kit would take time and would be expensive

I honestly cannot see anyone buying them all in one shot- except a dealer or a flipper at 50% of retail.

I would consider splitting the 26/14/18 into one set, the 24/13/16 into another set and the 20/12/14 into a set. The concert toms I would split into 6/8 and 10/12 and the 15 and 20 floors and remaining 24 bass as singles.

Are those clear interior, granitone or a mix?

Thank you. Great suggestion!

I bought an Inde wayfarer late last year and am awaiting delivery of a Gretsch 22/13/16 USA Custom in Satin Burnt Orange I just got,
otherwise, particularly since you are likely within driving distance, you'd have had an offer from me on the 24/13/16/18 or some variant.

Edit: My first Gretsch kit ever. Played a nice and similar sized gretsch kit on at a session in November of last year. Ran it straight through, no effects. Just sounded excellent
behind the kit and recorded. (The dangers of playing a studio kit...you might fall in love).

I'll check this thread or pm you in a month or two and see what the sit rep is. Those are gorgeous, and all make me think of the Bonzo kit that Prairie Prince owns.
