Why do I get the feeling that the person who put this kit together strongly resembles Jeff Lowe of Tiger King fame?

No mention of the age or series. When I search for birch/eucalyptus Premier I come up with XPK sets for less than $500 but the lugs are different. What gives? Do any of the Premier experts know what series and the approximate age of this drum set?

Late 80's early 90's XPK kits have the older style premier lugs that were on kits such as the vintage Elites and Resonators. These are still XPK
