I think this is my third posting into the "Show Off Your Entire Snare Collection" as it is always changing. I have been using the recent down time to make some decisions about selling and buying, and have already sold and bought! I have a few more snares to sell, but not on the look out for anything new at the moment. With my recent additions, I have put together a much smaller group that covers everything I need very well. While I am missing the accepted requirements of a good American snare drum collection, I have had them all many times over and this line up offers me everything I need .... for now!

Top row... left to right

1997 Wilson Customs 5” X 14” MAPLE
2020 Tama 7” X 14” Starphonic Copper #PCP147
2018 George Way 7” X 14” Carter McLean Signature Model #GW714CMB36
2015. Tama 6” X 14” Starphonic Maple #PMM146

2015 George H. Way 6 ½” X14” #804 Elkhart Copper
2017 Independent Drum Labs (INDe) 6 ½” X 14” Aluminum

Bottom row... left to right

1969 Remco 5”X 14” Fiberglass
2010 Tama 6” X 14” Starphonic Aluminum PAL146
1947 Slingerland 6 ½” X 14” Gene Krupa Radio King Legacy Tribute Custom
1971 Slingerland 5”X14” Gene Krupa Sound King Model #130
2019 George Way 6 ½” X 14” Hollywood Model #GW904 1/1 Patina Finish
2016 Punkinater 6” X 14” 20 SEGMENT MAPLE / WALNUT STAVE

But to be honest... the first two in each row are not actually a part of the "playing collection". I built the silver sparkle for my son back in elementary school band and it now has been given to my Grandson, it just happened to be here at the house yesterday so I tossed it in. The blue sparkly Remco sounds like rump, but it was my very first drum so it stays... just not played! Here is the actual line up I choose from to cover any need at the moment...

And since they were all out, a couple of "sub" collection photos... My current George Way drums...

And my current Tama Starphonic collection....

Thanks for the look... since I am only getting to play one time a week at the moment (and that is only two to three songs per service) just lining up my snares and taking pics even makes me happy right now!!!

I have:
Blaemire 14x8
Ludwig Coliseum 14x8
Black Beauty(Bronze) 14x6.5

After I buy these add ons for my 70’s Ludwig next week, I’ll be looking for some shallower snares.

Really want to contribute here, but been in isolation since May 17.

A 6.5 arrived in the mail last week and...well, we live in a small place and a Grand Pyramid of Giza made of snares taking up half the living room of our condo probably isn’t in my or anyone’s best interests right now.

I’ll bump this thread in 2021. I promise.

My snare collection has been significantly reduced as I wanted to just keep snares that will be part of the regular rotation for my gigs ( once we can gig again).
The current selection contains :
5 x 14 Ludwig Engraved Black Beauty
4.75 x 14 N&C Alloy Classic
6 x 14 N&C Alloy Classic
6 x 14 N&C Walnut SS
5.25 x 14 Sonor Protean
5.75” x 13” Sonor Benny Greb ( not pictured )

It's fun to pull this thread back up top after almost a full year. I was doing an afternoon of general housekeeping on my current snare collection today and thought I would shoot a new family portrait. I have posted 4 times in this thread (Dec. 18, May 19, Jan. 20 & May 20) and I'm amazed looking back tonight at how much my humble little family has changed in that 3 year period. I think I'm in a pretty good place now as far as voices and having instruments I truly wanted to own and keep... I guess we will see!
