In the 60s explosion, Leedy seemed to get left behind. But I always loved their kits, something about the hardware in particular, those lugs. And I liked that everybody didn't have Leedys. Anyway, how about Leedy lovers post some photos? No rules here, I'd say L&L counts if you like.

I always liked the Leedy lugs as well, kind of an Art-Deco look.
When I was a boy it seemed that the only drummer I knew who played them as an endorser was Shelly Manne. They seemed to have missed the British Invasion completely and seemed to disappear in the early seventies. Here is a history I found on Steve Maxwell's site:

Leedy Broadway Parallel "Full Dress Model" Snare! This drum sounds fantastic and I think looks spectacular...but I am a little biased!

Just bought this Slingerland produced Leedy snare from 1960 at the Chicago Drum Show this past weekend. I love the design of these double lugs which I believe were cooked up by Slingerland after they bought the company.

I have 2 or 3 older Leedy snares but no pictures handy of them. I came very close to scoring a really nice early 60s silver sparkle Leedy set in "bop" sizes (12/14/18) a few years ago. The deal was set then the guy's grown son (who lived 1000 miles away) decided they should "stay in the family" despite no one actually playing them. Oh well.
