That kit is choice...the battle scars look great on that one. Despite all the paint chips, the condition of the hardware is pretty damn good...

I love that bass head too..'very hip...

That's the lovely but seldom seen tri-band Duco pattern.
Most likely from the late thirties as noted in the listing.

I gotta say, as much as I love all things Slingerland, this one's a bit rough for me. Three different styles of lugs between four drums don't have the...uniformity...I like in a kit, and the Duco's shot. Nice snare though, if you don't mind refinishing. I honestly can't see most people playing this kit as is...

Looks cool as all hell, but I'd never fork over $2K for them. If I found those at a yard sale for almost nothing, I'd be all over 'em, and they'd be a fun project to take on. I'm sure they'd benefit from a good cleaning, chipped duco and all. They'd really look fantastic refinished in the same style, but I think I'd leave them as is.

One thing to think about is the single-tension bass drum. Can you get those things to sound any good?
