Every now and then I get a really rare gem in this shop that takes my breath away ! Here is a collectors item for the right person: A 1977 Slingerland Buddy Rich 80N 5 pce set ! In a super rare Mahogany finish that was only made for 2 years ! Most of these models were the standard White Marine Pearl finish. There is probably only a handful of these sets out there in this finish and probably not this mint ! 14X22 bass , 9X13 rack tom, two times 16X16 floor toms and again a rare 6X14 TDR snare. These are 5 ply Maple/Poplar shells. Single tom mount and two cymbal mounts off the bass drum are included. Drums have the stick saver hoops.

$400 worth of Protection Racket bags are included !

$1900USD plus shipping !

Let me know !58916866_2339739766349942_5787118481719689216_o.jpg58741778_2339740023016583_384708729032933376_o.jpg58463138_2339739869683265_8366431949979385856_o.jpg58443853_2339739926349926_3848990660921131008_o.jpg58384332_2339739809683271_5227627548929687552_o.jpg

Holy moly! You'd be hard-pressed to find this set - up in this condition ANYWHERE!! That's just a great deal. (I have no connection to Murat or his shop, other than being fellow Forum brothers).

Having just seen (and tapped on) this set in person at Drummer's Hangout I can attest that it is exactly as nice as Murat says it is!
You are so fortunate to be in such close proximity to Murat's shop. I can't believe the number of clean, high-end used kits that come through his door on a regular basis.

Lovely! I had a set of 13/14/18/24 70's 5 ply Slingys covered in crappy faded white wrap. Underneath was mahogany and I finished it with gunstock oak stain to get nearly this exact color......I always wondered why Slingy wrapped their mahogany (other than Buddy played WMP)..........GLWS!

Very limited knowledge on this subject ... but I believe this was the last year (?) of the 80N production. Fred Sanford had been hired on and they started really moving in the Marching Percussion direction ... hence, the Cut-A-Way integration within the kits by the 79 cat. They switched to a new model numbering system by late 78. These became the 680T Fusion model. In my collection ... an Upbeat 650T built with 3Ply shells in Oakwood Lacquer. I love the late 70s Slingerland drums. Some of my all-time favorite vintage drums ever built.

This particular kit is a true stunner in what appears to be outstanding condition. Someone is due for a wonderful drum kit blessing.

Guys, the "R" is probably my mistake. I honestly do not know where it came from. I think while taking notes about this set from the owner, it just sneaked in there. I will change the model name.
