I‘m hoping someone is more familiar with this set than I am. Purchased used about 1969. Matching Blue Agate wrap.I believe all original hardware and components. Heads have been changed for some drums, have originals. I do not have a good understanding of the rack Tom set up, it is designed I believe to hold a smaller second Tom but seems to more suitable for a cymbal mount as picture, not sure what Slingerland’s design intent is here, any help or additional background information would be appreciated. Thank you.

Yes, the second mount is for another tom. There are longer spades available that would perhaps make positions above the lug easier and/or prevent damage to the wrap from the bottom rim of the second tom.
Nice set!

Please post the serial numbers. Guestimate is '66-'67 (early '68 also possible), based on some of the small details.

Second half of '66 most likely for those badges/serials. These could have date stamps on the interior of shells.

The center lugs are the Stage Band model. The same as the normal shells except less hardware to save costs and I'm sure to compete with Ludwig Club dates and Gretsch Playboys. Nice drums. I love blue Agate or blue onyx and I really need to pick me up a set in that color!

that sets a little nicer (spec'ed) than what was shown in the catalog..
just came out that way..

even the 73 catalog Stage Band pictured is not that nice nor spec'ed the same..
