Slingerland TDR or maybe Buddy Rich

I picked up this 14x5 70's (Maybe 80's) Slingerland TDR COB snare for a good price last weekend and I'm pretty impressed. I forgot to check the serial number so I'm not sure if it was labeled "Buddy Rich" or just "TDR". I'll check when I get home.

The 76 and 77 catalogs show it in the pictures, but don't list it in the features.......so I have no idea.

Default was with muffler, but could be ordered without. Could also be ordered with "stick chopper" hoops.

The serial number is 241002 so I'm guessing the drum was from around 1977 and would have been labled the "Buddy Rich" at that time.

Does this sound correct?

Careful, the three air vents alone does not verify a Buddy Rich model. Several snare models featured the three air vents including the Concert King, Spitfire and post Buddy TDR's.
