Tensioned WAY up there for your preference. Nothing wrong with that. Jazz and such.
If it’s not a bother, I’d genuinely love to hear these two tensioned in a more relaxed and looser area. Perhaps in the no wrinkles and resonant zone.

Oh man! Love that video. Thanks for making it.

I've always loved my 12" 60's Slingerland tom. It's a stage band and it looks so good. I stripped it down to bare mahogany and oiled it. It's rings so nicely. So beautifully dark and expressive. You can get so many tones out of it, wonderful drum. I've had it longer than any other drum and I'll never part with it.

Wide open and very resonant. Nice freekin drums.
