I covered this classic Deep Purple track, trying to get the details right!

This song has a reputation for being "easy" due to its main guitar riff, but Ian Paice is one of the best rock drummers, hiding quite a bit of technical difficulty in his famous fills. His playing is quite rudimental (he loves five and six stroke rolls, and the "bucket-of-fish" fill), and has godly singles (I'll give "Burn" a go sometime).

Edit 3/15/19: I just recorded another take of this song! I've linked it below and I'd love your thoughts :)

Huge improvement, GB!! Now it sounds like there is a true rock 'n roll drummer behind the kit. And the kit itself sounds bigger for some reason. Did you choose another preset?

This time there was some "feel" behind the performance and not at all mechanical. And beefing up the bass drum pattern was a BIG step forward.

Thanks for posting the much-improved version!
