For Sale: 1965 Rogers Powertone Wood Shell Snare Drum

Wrap stripped off a long time ago. Light, vague clear finish applied back then.

Missing: Script Logo and vent grommet.

Crusty hardware. Lugs are pitted, as are throw off and butt. Throw off tension knob is a bit rusty, crusty on top.
But everything (other than script logo and grommet) is there, works, and should clean up pretty well.

Has original snare wires.

SOLD $250/OBO + $25 shipping. Local pickup in Southern Vermont area/Western Mass. area very o.k. with me. And I can drive some miles to meet up for sale.

Bump. I tend to underestimate the condition. This drum did not sit in a pool of water in someone's basement. Just the chrome is pitted and as old as you might think a nearly 60 year old drum might look. sans wrap/script logo/and grommet.

I can’t afford it, but my red sparkle Powertone was the best sounding wood shell snare I ever owned.

I had a red sparkle Powertone many years ago. Who knows, maybe it was the same drum!
