2018 Dunnett 5 ½” X 14” 2N Modeling Series #55142N-AM Patinaed Brass

SOLD*****

This is one of Ron Dunnett's works of art, a hand built 2mm brass rolled and welded shell with hand applied Chemical Patina. This is a 2n Modeling snare and looks just stunning! Modeling drums feature flanged top bearing edges with straight bottoms. Ron finished this example and named it “Iapetus” a little over a year ago on November 2, 2018. I am really torn on selling this one, I bought it from Bleen just in March of this year but have only played it one time. It's a beautiful drum and has wonderful cut and snap. A real head turner.

I know I have said it all before, but if I were to keep this drum it would not bother me at all, but it deserves to be played and not just setting in a bag on my shelf. BUT as I have been saying in my listings.. this needs a new home where it will be played. I am selling snares to raise funds for a new small local gigging kit (20 / 12 / 14) so it's time to thin the herd a bit. I have an over abundance of snares that I am not playing and these deserve to be on a stand somewhere being enjoyed! I am not really looking for any trades at the moment (thought I do have a soft spot for Istanbul Mehmet and Agop cymbals) but I will listen to any offer cause you never know what interest you may peak!

$525.00 for an opening price. This drum ships FREE in the lower 48 states (outside of that is actual shipping cost) AND it comes with very nice Ahead Dunnett snare bag free! I will cover the pay pal fees. Let me know if you have any questions and thanks so much for the look!

You're only played it once?
Yep... sad hu? I bought it with lust in my heart for the instrument it's self, I had no actual need for it. And while you should love the drums you play, that is the wrong reason to buy it in the first place. If it does not sell I will find a place for it no problem, but today, it's all about funding some tubs I do need.

If this was a 6.5 I would be ALL OVER this. I have too many 5-5.5" snares otherwise. What an incredible piece of functional art. Good luck with your sale!
