I can't say enough about how much I love my Sonor Vintage Series Red Oyster kit...both aesthetically and more importantly...the sound. I love this California Blue finish even more. Also, as much as I love the fatness of my drums...the matching 5.75x14 snare drum is equally great. I NEVER like matching snares...I don't know why...but they never sound as good as all of my super premium snare drums. This Sonor Vintage Series snare drum has something magical about it. It just sounds and plays like a dream. Super fat and crisp...two attributes that rarely go together in one drum. The shell is very thin and the bearing edges are rounded over with the apex right in the middle...it creates a fantastic drum that I have had to literally do nothing with...original heads, wires, and tuning! It stays in tune and just keeps sounding better and better. Anyone thinking about buying a set of these drums or this gorgeous set in particular...you can't go wrong. You will LOVE these drums. I just can't imagine drums sounding better than these drums.
