since the beginning of the internet say 1998..for drum forums and stuff... the greatest Set

better add some digits to that NOW

all I gotta say is:

:crybaby:

that's been my sweetheart set even has the 3 ply tees in addition the Gladstone brackets, the 3 ply shells...the sizes...
doesn't get any more real than that set
who ever the next owner is may he/she cherish it.

I bought a 12/14/20 3 ply kit from Spongbob a couple of years ago - he takes great care of his drums and is a great seller. I wish I could scoop these up, but blew my gear budget for the year already :(

Joe - keep in mind that Gretsch used stick choppers on all toms (12/13/14/16/18) until 1953. Starting in 1954, they put die cast stick choppers on 14" floor toms- the same hoops you’d find on a snare drum. It’s all in the Gretsch book by Rob Cook, page 198. Max’s kit is from before 1954 (Jazz At Massey Hall is May 1953.)

My pulse quickens every time you post something up for sale. This set just happens to be a dream kit, too. If this was post stimulus disbursement (3rd round), they'd already be on their way to Idaho. Beauts!
