When an item on Reverb sells, the URL gets changed at the Reverb end to redirect you to other sales. You have to know how to defeat that. I had to learn this to do my price tracking work effectively. Let's try this one, as the previous one got rewritten so it doesn't work. I don't know who the culprit is, DFO or Reverb. But I don't usually try and do things here on DFO, I just hand code the URL I need outside the forum context. Apologies as I continue to investigate.

So it's sold? Out of curiosity, how do you defeat the Reverb redirect?

There seem to be a number of different HTML changes which work. I used the URL post re-write from DFO which looked like this

and rewrote that using the item number (62503364) to read

I've seen a few variants which also work. Basically if you know the item number you're good. It's the parameter ?show_sold=true versus ?ended_listing which does what we want.

The DFO software is messing with my examples. I'm trying to find the bbcode equivalent of noparse as used in xenforo, but using quote for now.

nfo doesn't work as expected in this implementation either. *grrr*

[nfo]https://reverb.com/item/62503364?show_sold=true[/nfo]

One would think the people who wrote vbulletin and then moved to xenforo would have made the two bbcode implementations more compatible. Programmers. *sigh*

Found that the code tag works as advertised:

Code:
https://reverb.com/p/a-zildjian-20-small-stamp-ride-cymbal-1957-1960?ended_listing=62503364

rewrite to

Code:
https://reverb.com/item/62503364?show_sold=true
